Reading Area Guide

Reading is a large market town in the Thames Valley, covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Culturally diverse and rich in history with excellent links to both road and rail makes Reading an exceptional place to live.
Home to many global companies, idyllic parks and open spaces makes the area desirable for families and professionals.

Reading is also extremely accessible with access to the M4 and Great Western main line station with services to most, main UK cities. The new TfL Elizabeth line railway will stretch more than 60 miles from Reading to Abbey Wood in the East stopping at 41 accessible stations, 10 newly built and 30 newly upgraded.

The town centre boasts an array of shops, restaurants, leisure, and arts facilities, as well as being home to Championship team, Reading Football Club. Forbury Gardens is a fantastic open space in the heart of the towns legal district, close to the historic Reading Abbey ruins which was once, one of the richest monasteries in Medieval England.

Reading is a thriving town suiting all budgets, offering ‘city’ living, but also benefits from being surrounded by several villages offering more rural accommodation.
